The National Ambulance LGBT+ Networks
The National Ambulance LGBT+ Network provides an overarching body for LGBT+ Networks in each NHS Ambulance Service. Over the last decade we have done a lot of work to bring representatives together from each Trust to look at how we can provide increased levels of support to a consistent standard in all areas.
Support Mechanisms
In addition to each Trust's LGBT+ Network there are a range of support mechanisms. These vary from Trust to Trust and you will find comprehensive information in our newly expanded Networks section. Most of our Ambulance Trusts are establishing Health and Wellbeing services and we will update on the services available as these are confirmed.
Events
Mosts Trusts link with local Pride events and these are an excellent opportunity to meet staff from neighbouring services. Details of events that you can link with are all listed on the Events page.
Please note that some Pride events are starting to restrict the number of people that can attend. If a Pride event is not advertised on the Events page it may for this reason and is only available to staff from that region.

SWASFT's LGBT+ Network was formed in 2014.
Our primary goal is to allow our staff and members of the community to feel open and proud to be who they are. Inclusion and collaboration are big pillars of our ethos, and we encourage all of our staff networks to be involved in Pride and related events to show that we are all allies. We want staff and colleagues to feel safe to speak out against any and all types of discrimination be that violence, verbal abuse or anything that makes someone feel undervalued.
Our network is going through some exiting changes and we are focusing on increased community involvement and recruitment of people that identify as LGBT+ to make us an even more inclusive employer. We aim to do this through community recruitment at as many Pride events across our 10,000 square mile patch (the biggest in the UK!).
